Get Outside in Somerset Campaign

What is Get Outside about?

Get Outside in Somerset is helping our community to get outdoors and move in more ways that suit you.

Founded by Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership in partnership with Somerset County Council, Community Council for Somerset, Spark Somerset and Somerset Wildlife Trust, we are here to empower people to get outside more often and enjoy our beautiful county.

From spending time with family and having fun with friends in the garden, to enjoying the scenery and embracing the weather on our rolling hills, we’re all about simple ways to get outside in Somerset.

Spending time outdoors and getting back to nature has been the upside for many over the last year. Not only is it free, but there are many magnificent green and open spaces to exercise and for people to enjoy, to alleviate stress and aid relaxation. The campaign isn’t about taking up an extreme challenge – it’s about small changes you can make to improve your life – just 5 minutes a day is all you need to start seeing positive changes. << Find out how 5, 10 or 20 minutes outside can help here >>

There are so many ways you can take advantage of the benefits of nature, from spending time with family and having fun with friends, to enjoying the fresh air, scenery and embracing the weather. Find the time to venture outside and you will reap the health benefits of the outdoors. It can also help reduce your stress load so you can return feeling rejuvenated.
