What we do?

We produce high quality, independent and robust Housing Needs reports that;

• Give Parish Councils evidence of general housing needs, which is useful when commenting on planning applications and in any pre-application discussions with developers
• Show the level of affordable housing need, which can lead on to developing small housing schemes, by working with Housing Associations. We can also assist Parish Councils develop their own Community Land Trusts to do their own building of affordable homes in their community
• Can influence local planning policy in the longer term
• Can be used to provide evidence for Neighbourhood Plans

How we can help

The Smart Communities team can help you through the whole process, from applying for funding to devising a bespoke survey and producing an in-depth report. And then give guidance and support on what to do next, how to work to deliver the housing required.
