Michael Loader Podcast: Sleeping with the moon – episode 5 ‘The flowering moon of May’

https://sleeping-with-the-moon.captivate.fm/episodes/1#showEpisodes

Michael Loader is a storyteller, writer and workshop leader working with all ages from pre-schoolers to elders. He works with the Read For Good charity in children’s hospitals, director of Somerset Storyfest and storyteller in residence at St George’s concert hall and Blaise Castle Museum both in Bristol. I have been self employed as a storyteller, actor, facilitator and teacher with all ages from pre schools to elders homes since 1988. I have worked in Education, including Mental Health, Adults with Learning Disabilities, Schools, Teacher Training and Personal Development. Other areas include Charity Work, Community Projects and the Corporate World. I have worked with St George’s concert hall Bristol, Birmingham Symphony Hall in association with Birmingham City Library, The Egg Bath, Taunton Brewhouse, National Archives London and the National Trust.

How does this work reflect the theme of the exhibition? The Flowing Moon of May recounts the story of my daughter’s birth 22 years earlier. A life changing experience celebrated in the rich countryside of Somerset that I call home. My stories reflect my love for the earth and all that live on it connecting me both physically and spiritually to my surroundings and the listener.

“Michael clearly has storytelling in his soul and his love of people and of engaging the audience in the story is abundantly apparent in all of his wonderful shows”.
