Celebrating National Trustee Week

It’s NationalTrustees’ Week, we’d like to say a big thank you to all the trustees who dedicate their time and expertise to charities across Somerset.

Here at CCS(Community Council for Somerset), we’re proud to have a fantastic and dedicated Board of Trustees. They help ensure that ourorganisationis well-managed, sustainable, and on course to achieve our mission.

Our trustees have a wide range of experience I’m areas that are really relevant to our work such as Health & Social Care, Town Planning, Community Buildings, and Marketing experience to name a few. We really appreciate the skills, knowledge, and vision that our trustees bring to ourorganisation, and we know that they enjoy many personal and professional benefits in return.

As well as being incredibly rewarding, trusteeship is a great opportunity to use and develop your skills, learn about the management and strategy side of charities and work with new and interesting people, plus it makes a great addition to your CV.

But don’t just take our word for it! Here’s what our Chair Jim Claydon had to say about his experience of being a trustee.
