COVID-19 Advice Translated

COVID-19 advice and guidance for our diverse communities in the UK!

Doctors of the World guidance is now translated into an incredible 60 languages.

Doctors of the World has also produced motion graphic videos with key COVID-19 information for migrants living in the UK. These are available in 11 priority languages: Bengali, Bulgarian, English, Kurdish Sorani, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Turkish and Vietnamese.

Covid-19 Infographics

People from ethnic minorities are disproportionately affected by Covid-19. A group of doctors, medical students, and volunteers have created graphics to help summarise key points about Covid-19 in a variety of languages to reach communities.

Domestic Abuse

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, or are worried about a friend or member of your family, help is available. Call 0800 69 49 999 or visit www.somersetsurvivors.org.uk. In an emergency, you should always dial 999, if you are unable to speak because you are worried you will be overheard you can press 55 and the operator will know that you need assistance.

The Home Office has now published information guides for people without English as their first language and who may be experiencing domestic abuse, (or know someone who is) and needs help.

Modern slavery

A leaflet outlining the support available for victims of modern slavery is currently available in 11 foreign languages. Click HERE to download the advice.

The advice is currently translated into Albanian, Czech, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Luganda, Mandarin, Polish, Romanian, Slovakian, Vietnamese and Yoruba as well as being available in an accessible format in English.
