CCS (The Community Council for Somerset) is an award-winning, innovative and fast-growing charity. We are passionate local experts, inspiring and enabling positive change for Somerset’s people, places and enterprises.

Our teams work where they are most needed, delivering critical personalised support for individuals and communities. During the COVID-19 emergency, CCS Village & Community Agents have supported over 40,000 people in Somerset, carrying out over 70,000 community support activities.

Vacancy

Administration Officer

  • Salary £22,285 per annum
  • Hours 35 hours per week
  • Term of contract Initial 1 year contract. Possible extension subject to funding
  • Holiday 25 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Other Details To support the CCS Board of Trustees and Smart Communities Directors, arranging and administering meetings as required. To support other members of the Core Finance and Administration and HR teams in delivering support to the whole organisation, including grant administration, directing employees to IT support and processing expenses.   • Job Title Carers Service Coordinator
  • Salary £23,814 per annum
  • Hours 35 hours per week
  • Term of contract To March 2024 possible extension subject to funding
  • Holiday 25 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Other Details To support the delivery of the Somerset Carers Service by providing a single point of internal/external contact, and co-ordinating projects and initiatives countywide that will support and improve the lives of unpaid Carers.   • Hours 35 hours per week - some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Term of contract Initial 1 year contract. Possible extension subject to funding
  • Holiday 25 days per year plus bank holidays
  • Other Details To provide help, support, and solutions for the health and social care needs of members of the community, through engagement with local neighbourhood, statutory and voluntary organisations.
